Basketball Baby

Today I went to my first women's basketball game at Auburn University. Lucky for me it was the Lady Tigers vs. the Lady Vols. In the end, the 5th ranked Tigers beat the Vols (as you can see I supported the Vols with Mommy while Daddy wore an Auburn shirt and hat), but I wasn't disappointed because it was a sell-out crowd. It set the attendance record for a women's game at over 12,000 people and I was there to see it all (well, most of it....naptime interrupted). You can listen to my commentary by clicking here. I'd also like to give a shout out to my friend Cathy who had a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY yesterday. I am 20 weeks old this week and weighing in at around 13.5 pounds.... time flies when you are having fun.

So, I have been hanging out with my new friend "Cathy" since around Christmas. I like to hold her, snuggle next to her when I am asleep, and even kiss her! When I hear Cathy's music, she helps me to stop crying. I think we are going to be friends for a long time and mom and dad know that she must travel with us everywhere (even if it is just to go to the store)! and... I like snuggling with dad too =)

So, even though I live in Alabama I guess I have to get used to some cold temperatures. Our low temperature for tonight is in the 20s which is quite cold for this part of the state. I have a little bit of a cough and some congestion thanks to ever changing weather (it was 75 degrees only a couple of days ago!). Tonight I had my first cereal from a spoon, but I still enjoyed my bottle from dad.

I was four months old yesterday! and I'm still starting to taste new foods and explore. It was my New Year's Resolution to sleep in my own bed like a big girl, but the past few nights I have been missing mom and dad and they just can't stand to hear me cry in there alone... so... I guess you could say I'm still working on that =) Uncle Bini gave me a dvd for Christmas that I have been watching because it has lots of pictures of my favorite animals. That's all for now!

Wow - it has been too long since my last posting! Mom and Dad were sick for a few days, so I understand that they didn't have lots of time to tell you about what I've been doing. So, here it goes. My very first Christmas was amazing. I got to spend time with mom's friends, Mamaw and Paw, all of my aunts and uncles, and my Great Mamaw Jean. I must have been good for the past three months because I got lots of "benjamins" to put in my savings account; I also received some very cool big girl toys. I even participated in a Christmas Eve candlelight service where I showed my enthusiasm by chuckling during all of the Christmas carols. It's the most wonderful time of the year! and boy am I tired =). I'm resting up though because I'm headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a New Year's celebration.
