My First Christmas

the aftermath of playing too much
bling bling

sweets for a sweetie

Merry Christmas morning!

my best friends

Wow - it has been too long since my last posting! Mom and Dad were sick for a few days, so I understand that they didn't have lots of time to tell you about what I've been doing. So, here it goes. My very first Christmas was amazing. I got to spend time with mom's friends, Mamaw and Paw, all of my aunts and uncles, and my Great Mamaw Jean. I must have been good for the past three months because I got lots of "benjamins" to put in my savings account; I also received some very cool big girl toys. I even participated in a Christmas Eve candlelight service where I showed my enthusiasm by chuckling during all of the Christmas carols. It's the most wonderful time of the year! and boy am I tired =). I'm resting up though because I'm headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a New Year's celebration.

Santa Came Early!

Even though Christmas is a couple more weeks away, Dad showed up with a gift from Santa already. I love sitting up like a big girl in my Bumbo chair - look at me!

Big Girl

I'm officially a big girl now! I can wear my 3-month old clothes and hold onto my toys all by myself. This past week was my first full week at day care, and we found out that I can now eat about 6 ounces of milk at a time... so I've graduated to the big bottles now! I love my new teachers at day care, especially Ms. Odessa who feeds me.

Thumbs up

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I was so tired after eating yesterday I slept through the entire night! and then took a nap until 11:30 today! I also learned how to suck my thumb as an added bonus.

First day at Day-Care

I spent my first day at day-care today while mom went to school and dad went out to conquer the business world. I was sooooo tired when I got home because I only took catnaps of about 30 minutes each all day. I ate around 15 ounces of milk and had multiple dirty diapers, so everything went as usual in my new hang-out spot. Maybe I'll make some new friends!

Saturday night

I loved spending time with mom and dad this weekend since it's mom's last weekend at home before she has to start work again on Monday. Mom got crafty and made a cute girly, pink tutu for me and dad even let me have control of the remote! It's my first time at day-care on Monday, so I'm going to take advantage of daytime naps with mom until then.

Look everyone! I am now a master of "tummy time" and can successfully hold my head up for a really long time.

Beach Bum

Well... I've been on the road again. This time I am with Mamaw, Paw, Mom and Dad in Florida! I had my first outing at the beach and I remained cool and sunburn-free thanks to Uncle Travis and his great gift, the outdoor cabana. I also got to put my tiny little foot into the sand for the first time and felt the ocean water - brrrr!

Home again....

After a long, but very exciting week.... I'm finally back home. Mom and Dad are a little tired, too, so we made time to relax together before our next big adventure. I'm looking forward to trick-or-treating for the first time this week. Trick-or treat, smell my feet, give me some MILK to eat!

Little Volunteer

I dressed up for the football game in my very cute Tennessee Vols Cheerleader ensemble. I had lots of school spirit, but it wasn't enough to claim victory against Alabama. Mamaw and Paw kept me, and I spent my first night away from Mom and Dad. They had lots of fun with their friends Addam, Rasha, Cristi and John at the football game in Knoxville - Go Vols!

First visit to the Smokies

Today was a big day for me because I went soooo many new places. I went with Paw, Mamaw, and mom on a leaf-looking adventure in the Smokies. We drove through Cades Cove and saw lots of critters (deer, turkeys, squirrels, rednecks...). On our way home we stopped to see Uncle Charles at work on campus. I love spending time with my family in Tennessee.

Girls' night!

On Tuesday, I had my first girls' night dinner at Rebecca's house. Mom's friends Cathy, Hayley, and Erin were there, too. Rebecca makes delicious lasagna...mmmm.... Erin brought baby Davis but we didn't get to talk much on our first play date because I slept through dinner - but I had so much fun with mom and her amazing friends.

Paw's new necktie

Hey y'all! I finally made it to Tennessee. I have been lots of new places and met lots of new people this weekend. On Friday, mom and dad drove me to grandma and grandpa's house in Georgia where I got to hang out with their cool neighbors. Then, on Sunday, I went to Mamaw's church and met some nice people there. Coach Fulmer should really thank me for visiting Tennessee and causing him to to finally win a game this season - can someone send him this blog? I'll keep you posted on all of my fun activities this week...

Sunday Funday

Mom and Dad woke me up early today for a bath. I relaxed in my robe and slippers until it was time to get dressed. Then, we all went to church together as a family for the first time. I love Sundays!

Out and About

What a weekend I had! Grandma and grandpa came to visit and I ran lots of errands with them, along with mom and dad. We ate barbecue, Cracker Barrell, and even went to the grocery store. I really like getting out and about now that I am getting bigger.

A hard day's work

Today was my first day out of the house with mom. I wore a cute pink onesie and a cardigan that mamaw made for mom when she was a baby. We picked dad up at work and went to his favorite Mexican restaurant. Although I decided to nap during lunch, the food sure smelled good! Hopefully I can try a chicken chimichanga someday. After lunch, I visited dad at work and played with his friends there for a little while. What a day!

I am celebrating another week of life today! Last Friday, I finally got to see my belly button (it's an innie). I am still learning all kinds of new noises and faces. It's hard to believe that I am 3 weeks old. Time flies when you are having fun!

Birthday Girl

Yesterday was my two week birthday! Dad got me some great Baby Einstein presents. One of the blocks has a mirror on it, and I made lots of funny faces when I was playing with it. I had a great day!

Daddy Day Care

Mom got a treat today and went to get her hair cut. She was gone for two and half hours with mamaw! I think they did some shopping while they were out, too. It was my first time alone at home with dad. We ate, burped, changed a diaper, and then watched golf together. It was so special!

Cruisin'

I "walked" my first mile today with mom and mamaw. The weather has cooled down and I love going outside in the evening. Aunt Cynthia gave me this awesome stroller so I can always have a smooth ride. Everyone in our complex is jealous of my sweet wheels. I attracted several neighbors today with my cuteness. Can you believe that I am a week old today?

Blast from the past

Papaw sends this from Tennessee.... not much has changed. Do you know who this baby is?

My first week at home

This is my first week at home. So far, I have had two baths. I watched the Auburn game with Dad on my first Saturday at the house.
Today, I had my first weight check. When I went home from the hospital, I weighed 5 pounds 12 ounces, and today I weighed 6 pounds (good news!). My birth weight was 6 pounds, 2 ounces and I am 19 1/2 inches long.
The cats are somewhat scared of me and we only stare at each other for now. My funny faces and smiles keep mom, dad and mamaw going for those middle-of-the-night feedings and diaper changes.
