The Big Easy

Oh yeah, before I got to return home to my daddy on Father's Day, we made a stop in the Big Easy, New Orleans!

Pretending to work the coffee counter at Cafe du Monde

Look at my neat-o crib at the hotel! I mainly used it as a trampoline.

Baby Vi in Cajun Country!

I have made it to two more states! Louisiana and Mississippi. During mom's class last Wednesday, I tried to appear studious while reading my books on the quad at the University of Alabama. For lunch, we visited the original Dreamland BBQ location near the university. After that, we made our way down to Lafayette, Louisiana. I swam in the pool, visited the Tabasco factory, saw a plantation home, and ate at some original Cajun restaurants with live music and traditional dancing!

Official Crawler Alert!

For those of you who are familiar with my head-scoot, backwards crawl, I finally made it up on my hands and knees. But I haven't given up on the head-scoot; it's reserved for situations that require speed.

Meow....mmm is that water for me?

Charlie & RoRo (thanks Ava!)

So I went to Grandma and Grandpa's house this weekend because it was my first chance to meet my Great Uncle Charlie and Great Aunt RoseMarie. It was such a treat to meet them for the first time, and they even brought me some gifts from family....how sweet! They told me lots of stories about my other cousins, and also some stories about dad when he was little. As usual, it was a fun weekend spending time with family and friends at my home away from home.
